Southern Cardamom National Park
Around three hours by car from Phnom Penh, Southern Cardamom National Park is a wild and untouched corner of Cambodia that’s never before been open to tourism. Now it’s the setting for one of Asia’s most talked-about hotels.
Spanning an almighty 866,930 hectares, Southern Cardamom National Park is Cambodia’s newest and largest national park. Not only is it one of the last great wilderness areas of South-East Asia, it is also one of the country’s few remaining habitats for wild elephants, bears, gibbons, tigers and numerous other species.
Expect wild coastlines of pristine estuaries giving way to rainforest-clad mountains with hidden waterfalls and untrodden pathways leading deep into the verdant interior. In its midst lies the spectacular Shinta Mani Wild, a radical new concept featuring luxury tents and ‘Adventure Butlers’ as part of an impressive conservation initiative.
