Days 1-2
London to Hanoi
Fly overnight to Hanoi and on arrival, after a fast track arrival and speeding through the airport, check in at the Sofitel Legend Metropole for a 3 night stay.

Days 3-4
Hanoi
Get to know the real Hanoi today, on a vintage jeep. Visit the highlights of Vietnam’s capital including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the thousand-year-old Tran Quoc Temple and the Temple of Literature and the bustling old quarter. Then get off the tourist route and explore the local markets, back streets and alleyways to see where the people of Hanoi live, work and play, stopping for lunch of Vietnamese specialties.
In the evening, discover the street food of Hanoi on a walking tour through the Old Quarter. Sample northern Vietnam food culture with your expert guide, through the maze of streets leading to Hoan Kiem Lake towards a hidden café.
The following day is at leisure to explore the bustling city. -
Days 5-6
Halong Bay
Depart to the coast and the famous Halong Bay. Board the traditional styled and luxurious Ylang Cruise for a 2 night sailing to Cat Ba Island and Lan Ha Bay. A 2 night sailing reaches quieter parts of the bay for evenings in peaceful surroundings.
