The St. Regis Bermuda Resort
With direct access to a boomerang of perfect pink sand, The St. Regis Bermuda Resort is all about rest and relaxation, with two beachfront infinity pools, a stunning golf course, three signature restaurants and a full-service spa to offer its guests.
The hotel is set on quiet St Catherine’s Beach – so named for the centuries-old fort that sits on a headland above it – and boasts 120 luxurious rooms, 21 of which are suites. All rooms have private balconies and are tastefully decorated in soft, refined colour palettes and organic textures that capture the oceanfront setting. Bathrooms are decked in marble with deep-soaking tubs and separate rain showers. All rooms offer at least partial sea views; the better offer dazzling panoramas of the ocean out front.
Golf has long been popular in Bermuda and the 18-hole Robert Trent Jones Sr.-designed golf course that lies just across the way from the resort’s main entrance is one of the most spectacularly set courses on the island.
If you’re not a fan of the fairways then you’re bound to be a fan of the beachfront deck area, which features two gorgeous pools surrounded by loungers and private cabanas. The pools roll right to the beach itself, where further cabanas and sunbeds await. There’s also a gym open 24 hours a day and a full-service spa complete with plunge pools, a steam room and separate lounges for both men and women.
As its name suggests, the signature BLT Steak NY restaurant offers an exceptional selection of steaks and sauces, though being by the ocean, its seafood offerings are just as enticing. By day it’s transformed into the Lina Restaurant, where fresh, local ingredients are given a Latin twist. For afternoon tea, retire to the Drawing Room, or for family style bites and culinary classics, opt for the intimate St. Regis Bar. Here you can also enjoy St. Regis traditions like nightly champagne sabering and the mixing of Bloody Marys, a cocktail first invented at the St. Regis in New York. The Bermudian version, using Gosling’s Black Seal rum and a sherry pepper sauce, is a sure-fire way to get you in the holiday mood.
