The Press Hotel, Autograph Collection

Located downtown, this historic building dates back to 1923 and was once home to the Portland Press Herald, the state’s largest newspaper. Taking inspiration from 1920’s writers’ offices, each of the rooms and suites features a vintage-style journalist desk, wooden floors and oversized windows, flooding the space with light and air. Though boutique, the hotel is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection and boasts many luxurious features. Sample fine regional ingredients at UNION, or try vintage cocktails at Inkwell. Portland also boasts a strong seafood scene, with working fishing wharves and warehouses converted into restaurants and shops.
