The Branson Beach Estate
Fourteen years in the making, The Branson Beach Estate is the latest addition to Sir Richard Branson’s astonishing collection of worldwide retreats. Perched on a dramatic outcrop at the north-east tip of Moskito Island, it sits just across the water from its sister property Necker Island in the beautiful and unspoiled British Virgin Islands.
The estate is made up of three spectacular standalone villas, which can be booked individually or taken all together on an exclusive basis. Sleeping up to 22 guests across a total of 11 bedrooms, the villas are all elevated to maximise the views and are connected by wooden walkways that blend naturally into the landscape.
On the estate’s highest point is Headland House, which boasts a gorgeous wraparound infinity pool as well as three spacious bedrooms with magical sea views. Offering direct access to a sandy beach and sleeping up to eight guests is the sheltered Beach Villa. While nestled among the mangroves and facing east towards Necker Island is the Mangrove Villa, which also sleeps eight. Each villa features its own kitchen, lounge area, infinity pool and hot tub, while tying the estate together is a gorgeous private beach, complete with its own beach bar and seaside dining area.
All three villas are impeccably run, with a resident chef on hand to plan menus and guests’ needs anticipated right down to the smallest details. In-villa spa treatments are readily available, and all guests enjoy access to the island’s shared facilities, including tennis courts, a gym, 1.5 miles of walking trails, and a watersports centre offering everything from kite surfing and wakeboarding to scuba diving and stand-up paddleboarding.
