Sani Dunes
Sani Dunes is the most grown up of the five hotels that make up the stylish Sani Resort, an all-singing, all-dancing, nothing-is-too-much-trouble, family friendly sanctuary on the shores of the Aegean in heavenly Halkidiki.
Not only is Sani Dunes the newest of the five Sani hotels, it’s also the most sleek and sophisticated, done up in cool greys from top to toe, with each of its 146 rooms and suites fronting onto the largest heated pool in all of Greece. Accommodation ranges from double and family rooms with private gardens to palatial suites just steps from the hotel’s private beach, complete with ludicrously comfy sun loungers and wide, cream parasols.
The headline restaurant Fresco showcases the innovative Italian dishes of Michelin-starred chef Ettore Botrini. Beach House on the seafront serves Mediterranean fare in a more relaxed setting, while The Market is a brasserie-style restaurant that sources produce daily from sustainable producers. All are part of Sani’s famous Dine Around programme, where guests can dine from the dine around menu at no additional cost, or use credit from a la carte menus, at an impressive 26 restaurants across the whole resort.
Families come here for far more than the dining though. There’s an excellent creche and a complimentary kids’ club available at neigbouring Porto Sani, private nannies and evening babysitting, a Babewatch team that will mind your little ones on the beach free of charge for 30 minutes, plus a range of activities to suit all tastes and age groups, from the Rafa Nadal Tennis Centre and the Chelsea FCF Football Academy, to scuba diving, sailing and a treetop adventure park.
