Porto Sani
Tucked behind the marina in the award-winning Sani Resort, Porto Sani is the smart choice for families looking for luxury, relaxation and quality time together in the sunshine of Halkidiki.
Porto Sani is part of the greater Sani Resort, which counts five hotels in total, spread out along a sandy beachfront on Kassandra peninsula in Halkidiki. The award-winning resort is part of a 1,000-acre estate surrounded by wetlands and pine forests and has its own marina, plus a handful of boutiques and a vast array of restaurants.
Of all the hotels, Porto Sani is the most centrally located, tucked behind the marina yet just a few minutes’ walk from two sandy beaches, complete with everything you’ll need including showers, sunbeds, towels and refreshments.
It’s also the best hotel for families. Dedicated staff will look after little ones on the beach for up to 30 minutes to allow parents a well-deserved break. The lagoon-style pool is always a hit with older kids, while younger ones can play safely in the dedicated kids’ pool.
The 148 suites have all recently been refurbished and come with terraces, balconies or private gardens. The new Three Bedroom Family Suites are especially good for larger families and those with older children and come with garden view or their own private pool. For younger families, the hotel can provide equipment and supplies to meet the needs of any baby, toddler or child, removing the need to pack a stroller, cot or steriliser. They even offer a complimentary session with renowned baby consultants Carol Mae Consulting – a great way to help families adjust their children’s sleep and behavioural routines to a holiday setting.
There’s a complimentary children’s club seven days a week for children over four, plus a creche available for an additional charge. There’s also evening entertainment to suit the whole family, babysitting services, children’s food stations, and menus designed for babies by Annabel Karmel.
Adults, meanwhile, can enjoy meals at El Puerto, Porto Sani’s modern Spanish restaurant led by Michelin-star chef David Ibarboure, or take advantage of the Dine Around programme that offers dining options at more than 26 restaurants around the resort. Throw in the brand-new spa and a list of activities that range from clay court tennis to sailing, scuba dining and Bear Grylls survival training and you really do have something for everyone.
