Nobu Hotel Ibiza Bay
Nobu Ibiza Bay is a stunning boutique hotel on the shores of Talamanca Bay on the south of the island, barely a mile from Ibiza Town, with an idyllic pool deck, a Six Senses spa, a John Frieda salon and of course the great restaurant that gives the hotel its name.
Sit up in bed here and you’ll see boats bobbing on Talamanca Bay, the tops of palm trees and joggers on the boardwalk that leads to the smart Botafoch marina, from where, incidentally, you can take the ferry to Formentera or across the harbour to Ibiza Town. The views are thanks to the floor-to-ceiling windows and glass-fronted balconies that feature in most rooms. You can even see the sea from many of the marble bathrooms, which feature large rain showers and baths in higher categories. Ibiza cool is everywhere, from tasteful details like hand-crafted ceramics and natural woven lamps, to the bleached-wood decks and palettes of white, gold and blue. Some of the suites have private pools and spectacular rooftop terraces.
As you would expect, the Japanese Nobu restaurant is not to be missed and makes the most of the fresh Mediterranean seafood on the doorstep. But there are four other restaurants to choose from too, including a Spanish-style beach shack and a healthy cafe by the bay.
Children are well catered for at the kids’ club, giving adults the time to try the Six Senses spa, get party-ready at the John Frieda salon, or pick out a new bikini at the boho boutique. Visiting practitioners offer a wide range of workshops, rituals and personalised treatments, while the hotel staff will happily arrange anything from a mooring for your yacht to guided tours and activities and getting hold of club tickets.
