Myconian Ambassador
Poised above the beach at Platis Gialos in Mykonos, this Relais & Châteaux resort offers breathtaking sea views, luxurious rooms and suites, a renowned Thalasso spa and one of the finest restaurants on the island.
It’s hard to fault the Ambassador in terms of its location. Platis Gialos offers cafes, watersports and a pleasant, sandy beach. Less than half an hour’s walk along pretty coastal paths are the celebrated beach clubs of Nammos and Scorpios. While ten minutes by car and you’re in Mykonos Town itself, with all of its shops and late-night delights.
That’s presuming, of course, that you’re looking to leave the Ambassador at all. It certainly gives you plenty of reasons not to. Almost all of the rooms command striking sea views and feature balconies or terraces. Some rooms come with jacuzzis on their terraces, while several suites have private or shared pools. Crisp whites and Aegean blues feature prominently in the décor, and luxury amenities like Molton Brown bath products, Bluetooth sound systems and Nespresso coffee machines come as standard throughout.
The spectacular pool deck offers sweeping panoramas of the beckoning Aegean. The acclaimed Thalasso Spa features three indoor pools (each at different temperatures and salinity levels), a steam room, sauna and a range of treatments using Elemis and Ligne St Barth products. And the restaurant Efisia – sheltered from the breeze in an alcove of rough-hewn stone – delivers gourmet menus worthy of their place in the Relais & Châteaux tradition.
