Lesante Cape Resort & Villas
With superb sunset views to Kefalonia opposite, this elegant spa resort feels wonderfully remote on the Akrotiri peninsula yet is actually just a few miles away from the lively town of Zante. The main resort is a labyrinth of low buildings, stone archways and paved alleyways clustered around a sun-soaked central courtyard with a traditional kafenion (café).
Nearby is a large organic garden where vegetables and herbs for the restaurants are sourced. There’s no shortage of these either, with options ranging from breakfast restaurant Elea serving freshly baked bread and hand-picked fruits on a shaded terrace, through all-day seafood restaurant Novita to fine-dining Fiore, where cliff-edge views compete for attention with culinary works of art.
Also perched on the cliff edge are Lesante’s three striking infinity pools, which on a clear day offer views as far as the Peloponnese. Many suites and villas make the most of the same views, with others looking onto the hotel plaza or to gardens draped in colourful bougainvillea. Many of the suites have private pools, as do all the gorgeous villas, which range in size from one to three bedrooms.
Facilities include an unspoiled pebble beach, a light-filled spa hidden in its own quiet olive grove, tennis and padel courts, and clubs for kids and teens.
