Fairmont Olympic Hotel
Among the city’s most celebrated landmarks, this luxury hotel commands a great location in downtown Seattle, within walking distance of the waterfront and Pike Place Market. Built in the 1920s but fully refurbished in 2016, it strikes the right balance between old-world glamour and contemporary luxury. The glamour is most evident in the two-storey lobby, with its oak-carved panels, domed ceilings and gilded chandeliers. More modern are the rooms, around half of which are suites, complete with plush duvets and marble bathrooms with powerful rainfall showers. Dining options range from modern brasserie The George to the oyster bar Shuckers, while facilities include an indoor pool and hot tub, fitness centre, salon and excellent day spa.
