Capella Ubud

Awaken your spirit of adventure at this tranquil tropical hideaway nestled deep in lush forests on the outskirts of Bali’s cultural heart, Ubud. Designed by architect Bill Bensley, this boutique retreat sits in blissful harmony with its natural surroundings and is the perfect place to let your ‘everyday fade away’.

Hidden within the trees you will find 22 unique one-bedroom tents as well as a two-bedroom lodge, all fusing modern comforts with timeless charm and featuring large outdoor decks with saltwater plunge pools. Each of the Terrace, Rainforest, River and Keliki Valley tents are individually designed by theme and positioned to ensure the utmost seclusion while also making the most of the tropical views. The exotic oriental-style Lodge is well suited to an adventurous small family as it features open plan living room, two bedrooms, deck area and private pool.

Drawing inspiration from the jungle setting and local heritage, dining at Capella Ubud is a treat for the senses with an array of innovative dishes made from seasonal and sustainably farmed ingredients. Add a touch of spice to your palate at Mads Lange, enjoy authentic Asian barbecue food at Api Jiwa or comforting snacks around The Camp Fire as you listen to live storytelling or watch a nostalgic film. Sip cocktails in The Mortar and Pestle Bar, located beside the camp’s 20 metre outdoor rainforest pool. Head out on mountain bikes, workout in the tented gym or feel pampered in the Auriga wellness spa. Capella Culturists are also on hand to design bespoke sightseeing itineraries, taking in temples and rituals, beautiful waterfalls, rice terraces and walking trails, artisan crafts and farmer’s markets plus much more.
