After arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport you will be welcomed by your guide before beginning your journey to Sri Lanka’s southern coast. In Tangalle you will spend three nights at Taru Villas Mawella, where verdant gardens meet golden sands. Spend your time at leisure, unwinding by the beach or exploring the local area. Tangalle offers a wealth of experiences, from surfing and diving in the Indian Ocean to visiting the rock temples of Mulkirigala or shopping at the lively Tangalle markets. One of Sri Lanka’s fascinating natural wonders, the Hummanaya Blow Hole is nearby too.

  • Days 4 - 5

    Yala

Journey inland to Yala, home to Sri Lanka’s most celebrated national park. Stay for two nights at The Warden’s House, a boutique retreat in a peaceful seven-acre estate near Sella Kararagama, with abundant birdlife and close to Block 5 of Yala, a lesser travelled area of the park. Experience morning and evening safaris – the park’s diverse landscapes of scrubland, forest and lagoon are home to elephants, crocodiles, sloth bears and a high density of leopards. With expert naturalists guiding you on private 4×4 drives, you will have the chance to spot some of the country’s most iconic wildlife before returning for dinner under the stars.

  • Day 6

    Galle

After a final early morning game drive, travel west to the fortified coastal city of Galle, a UNESCO World Heritage site where you will stay overnight at the charming Fort Bazaar. Join a local guide for a private walking tour of Galle Fort, learning about the city’s Portuguese, Dutch and British influences while wandering through narrow cobbled streets lined with cafés, boutiques and colonial buildings. The rest of the day is free to explore further or relax.
