The Danna Langkawi Resort & Beach Villas
The Danna is a distinctive plantation-house-styled resort hidden in a quiet bay on Kok Beach in the west of Langkawi Island, between emerald hills and still waters.
Scattered around the bay with a variety of sea and rainforest views are the resort’s villas, suites and rooms, each with 19th century Malay stylings, floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies. We especially love the ten luxuriously appointed beachfront villas featuring oversized pools, private gardens and direct beach access, which can comfortably accommodate four guests. The Royal Imperial Suite with its marina view and the Duchess Sea View Suites also feature panoramic plunge pools and plenty of space for long stays.
The Danna offers extensive facilities, including a three-tier infinity pool, a kids’ pool and kids’ club, a full fitness studio and an extensive spa in a soothing garden setting. Guests can indulge in a variety of classically inspired dining venues, including Planter’s overlooking the pool and the Andaman Sea, and Terrace for seafood and Italian cuisine. There’s also a beach bar, a 1920s-style veranda bar, plus a library and billiard room.
The resort commands a prime beachfront spot within a sheltered harbour, close to a number of private islands and several of Langkawi’s main attractions, including the famous SkyBridge, making it an ideal base for both relaxing and exploring.
