Kos
The third largest of the Greek islands, Kos is home to beautiful beaches, a rugged and varied topography, plus thousands of years of history. A popular choice among holidaymakers, the island can be as quiet or as lively as you like, with isolated spots for romantic getaways, and vivid nightlife in Kos Town for those looking to dance the night away. In the capital, you will also find ancient Greek ruins dotted almost everywhere you turn, and the impressive medieval castle still watches over the harbour. Away from the buzz of Kos Town, you will find the resorts of Mastihari, on the north coast, and Kamari, in the far southwest, both offering sweeping beaches, local tavernas, and outdoor activities. As well as watersports, visitors are treated to endless cycling opportunities with dedicated pathways between beaches and scenic mountain trails.
