Day 1

You will be met on arrival at Singapore Airport and transferred to the Shangri-La Hotel Singapore for a one night stay. Set in 15 acres of landscaped gardens, this hotel offers guests a serene urban retreat from which to explore the city.

Day 2
Singapore
After breakfast at the hotel, depart Singapore aboard the fabled Eastern & Oriental Express. Settle in to your private cabin and tuck into a delightful afternoon tea as the train crosses the southern Malaysian countryside. This evening, make your way to one of the dining cars for a sumptuous four-course dinner, a true highlight on any E&O journey, followed by a nightcap in the Bar Car.

Kuala Kangsar, Malaysia
The villagers of Labu Kabong greet you with a warm welcome ceremony this morning as you immerse yourself in rural Malaysian life. Take a guided tour of the village or get active with a hill-trek alongside the resident naturalist where having reached the top you’ll be rewarded with beautiful panoramic views. Back on board the train while away the afternoon on the open deck of the Observation Car, cocktail in hand.
