Katikies Kirini Santorini
The differences between the best Santorini hotels are very subtle but somehow Katikies Kirini feels that little more secluded, its infinity pool with caldera views is just that little bit more dazzling.
The guestrooms here are all suites. Each has a private veranda with jaw-dropping views you need only roll out of bed to appreciate. Many come with open-air jet-tubs and some even have outdoor pools and four-poster day beds. Interiors are a rhapsody of blue and white, with hardwood floors, fluffy beds and luxury bathroom amenities.
For many, the segue from breakfast at Katikies Lounge to a spot around the breathtaking infinity pool feels like activity enough for one day. Still, there’s plenty to do if you can summon the energy. The hotel is set on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Oia, whose main promenade is a scenic 15-minute walk away. Some of the island’s best beaches are only a little further, while closer to home, the Katikies Spa offers a range of exceptional treatments, along with a sauna, steam room, jet showers and jetted and heated pools.
Come evening, attention is best turned to the fine-dining Therasia Restaurant, which explores the fascinating world of contemporary and classic Italian cuisine through the creative eye of ingenious Greek-Italian chef Ettore Botrini.
