Forte Village Resort, Bouganville
Hotel Bouganville lies at the heart of the vast Forte Village resort – a sprawling collection of hotels, restaurants and swimming pools on Sardinia’s southern coast with a huge range of activities and facilities aimed primarily at families.
Surrounded by lush gardens and colourful bougainvillea, Bouganville is close to both of the main swimming pools and Piazza Luisa, the resort’s social hub offering shows, entertainment and the foremost names in Italian fashion outlets.
Accommodation takes the form of light and spacious bungalows, each with its own patio and garden. Some can be connected to adjacent bungalows to accommodate larger families; some even come with an outdoor playhouse, toys and a slide to keep children entertained.
Most kids, however, will be itching to explore the resort’s wider family facilities, which include 13 tennis courts, a Real Madrid football clinic, a go-karting track, a bright pink Barbie activity centre and Mario’s Village. Named after the resort’s mascot, Mario the parrot, this children’s play area is truly fantastic: nine child-sized buildings including a petrol station, hairdresser, theatre and workshop, complete with corresponding costumes and accessories.
