Canaves Oia Suites
The flagship of the Canaves Collection group of uber-luxe Santorini hotels, Canaves Oia Suites offers 44 ultra-stylish suites and two knockout villas, all perched on the cliffs of picture-perfect Oia with mesmerising views of the island’s caldera. It’s also the only hotel in Oia to offer lift access to all levels of the property.
Tucked away behind Oia’s blue-domed church, there’s a real sense of privacy to the suites here. Even the simplest of suites come with private plunge pools and balconies overlooking the caldera. Being the largest of the Canaves Collection properties, Canaves Oia Suites boasts the most facilities, including an atmospheric spa built into a natural cave that features two treatment rooms, a nail studio, Rasul steam bath, sauna, and an external couple’s treatment room with amazing views out over the caldera. There’s also a fitness studio, daily yoga classes, a medium-sized cave pool overlooked by the restaurant and a jaw-dropping infinity pool with half-sunken sun loungers.
Petra Restaurant serves some spectacularly innovative and theatrical dishes on a beautiful terrace overlooking the caldera. It’s a setting that normally could never be beaten, but Canaves Oia Suites can do one better. The Panorama Balcony Experience is one of the most romantic dining experiences in all Greece – a private candlelit terrace with a solitary table laid only for two, overlooking the caldera and the sapphire-blue Aegean. You can practically feel the grooves in the floor where guests have gone down on one knee.
